Résumé

This work is concerned with the problem of transfer processes in nearly homogeneous turbulence of incompressible density-stratified fluid. The term "nearly homogeneous turbulence" is understood to refer to such turbulence which is generated by constant velocity and scalar (e.g. temperature, impurity concentration or density) gradients directed transverse to one of the selected directions. Differential second-order model is formulated for the parameters uj, uj,∈ 1j u1 t, t2, ∈t taking account of gravitation. To close the system of equations, use is made of the earlier proposed approximate technique of the nearly homogeneous turbulence kinematics. The results of numerical modelling of the evolution of nearly homogeneous turbulent velocity and temperature/density fields generated by a constant mean velocity and temperature/density mean gradients are discussed.
