Stability Aspects of a Boiling Channel with a Sine-Shaped Heatflux
要約
The experiments described in this paper have been borrowed from a more extensive study (1) on the hydrodynamic characteristics of a natural-circulation boiling water system under the influence of subcooling and axial heatflux distribution.
Results were selected concerning the effect of these variables on the steady-state quantities inlet velocity and void-fraction and on the threshold power of instabilities. The sine-shaped heatflux hardly affected the steady-state characteristics but moved the region of stable operation to considerably higher values of channel power (up to 60%).
