要約

The conduction of heat has been measured in water vapor, nitrogen and in mixtures of water vapor and nitrogen in the pressure range from 102 mbar to 10−2 mbar and for temperatures between 300 K and 700 K. This corresponds to a Knudsen Number range from Kn = 10−2 to Kn = 102. The experiments were performed with a cylindrical heat transfer cell. The outer cylinder was heated with electrical heating tapes. An automatic measuring system controlled by a PDP 11 computer has been developed to control the temperature stability in the wall and the heat flux in the heating tapes. Also continuous data sampling, processing and storing has been done by the computer. Results of the measurements of the heat-conduction in the pure gases and in the mixtures are presented.
