AUGMENTATION OF CONDENSATION HEAT TRANSFER BY APPLYING NON-UNIFORM ELECTRIC FIELDS
要約
A fundamental study on heat transfer augmentation
of filmwise condensation by use of electric
fields has been conducted to develop condensers
with higher performance for waste heat recovery
plants and geothermal binary plants practice.
Firstly, by setting a needle electrode to a horizontal
liquid surface and applying D.C. high electric
potential between the needle and the plate immersed
in the liquid, the phenomenon of extracting
some amount of liquid to the needle is newly found
and from the electrohydrodynamical(EHD) standpoint
this phenomenon is clarified by theory and experiment.
Secondly, EHD phenomenon of removing condensate
liquid falling along a vertical heat transfer
plate surface is studied. Non-uniform electric
fields generated by wire electrodes stretched
horizontally and parallel to the plate are used
to show condensation heat transfer coefficients
increased up to several times with very small
electric power consumption.
