A physical model of condensation heat transfer on V-type vertical corrugated surface was presented and the numerical solution about the hydrodynamic behavior has been made, through the calculation of two dimensional velocity distribution. The local and average heat transfer coefficients of condensation can also be obtained from the condensation heat transfer experiments both on the smooth and the vertical corrugated tubes. Temperature distributions were measured with 10 thermocouples located at equal distances along the vertical tube. A comparison of the theoretical values calculated by this model and the experimental data indicates that they are well in agreement with each other. The present model introduces a simple and pratical method that is applicable to the design works.
