要約

Thermohydraulic irregularities occurring in the shell and tube counter-flow heat exchangers may considerably affect the operational effectiveness of the heat exchange surface. For the design of such devices it is proposed to calculate the temperature difference, introducing the correction factor ψ ≤ 1. The logarithmic temperature difference is multiplied by this factor similarly to the design of the heat exchangers with flow diagrams different from the counter flow. Coefficient ψ depends both on operating parameters and the character of the tube bundle flow-around, the latter being considered by the introduction of the irregularity parameter ε. The form of this relationship is clearly defined on the basis of the heat exchanger homogenous model analysis.
