要約

A mathematical model describing the heat and mass transfer during the regeneration process of a silica gel bed by adiabatic desorption was developed. The governing equations were numerically solved to predict the time required to regenerate a silica gel bed of a specified depth, and initial moisture content and temperature, if the inlet properties of the regeneration air are known. The predictions of the numerical solution were compared with experimental measurements. The effects of the significant parameters, on the regeneration process, were discussed.
