要約

Solutions to boundary-layer equations, with boundary conditions corresponding to disks and cones, have been obtained with the Box numerical scheme. The results, for the constant viscosity case, demonstrate excellent agreement with previous solutions and the turbulent-flow results, obtained with an algebraic eddy-viscosity formulation previously used successfully to represent a wide range of turbulent flows, are in close accord with the available velocity, Nusselt- and Sherwood-number data. The quality of the agreement for the turbulent-flow results, suggests that higher-order turbulence models are not required for the disk and cone configurations.
