要約

Heat transfer and fluid flow parameters are combined with ballistic characteristics to construct an analytical model which predicts transient pressures and temperatures of a spacecraft spin system during operation. The components of these systems are mounted on the periphery of a conical structure and hence operate under centripetal and lateral loads which amplify the convection heat transfer. The validity of the analysis is demonstrated by comparing predictions with data obtained during static and dynamic testing of an engineering model for Space Test Program Flight P78-1 spin system.
