要約

Experiments are performed to explore the gas flow characteristics in porous carbon matrices, in a temperature range from 293°K to 1600°K. The results indicate that, for Heed Reynolds number, the flow regime inside the slab changes with increasing temperature from a regime where inertia forces are significant to a Darcy regime. Experiments are also performed to explore the flow uniformity downstream of the slab. The results indicate that the flow uniformity increases with increasing distance from the porous slab and that the thickness of the slab does not hove an appreciable influence on the flow uniformity itself, for the parameter range covered in these experiments.
