要約

An analysis of a two-dimensional flow of an incompressible, viscous fluid past an infinite, vertical, porous plate, with variable suction and free convection currents, is carried out when the free stream velocity oscillates with time about a non-zero constant mean velocity. During the course of the discussion, the effects of the Grashof number (G > 0, cooling of the plate), variable suction (A) and frequency (ω) of the free stream on the transient velocity and temperature, the amplitude and the phase of the skin-friction and the rate of heat transfer are considered.
