要約

To determine the major characteristics of the directional solidification process, such as thermal gradient in mushy zone and solidification rate, the technique of the experimental data analysis is suggested. The solution of the one-dimensional heat conduction equation with constant coefficients for the first type boundary conditions is used for approximation of the temperature history recorded in the casting. The search of the best approximation was reduced to the solution of the boundary inverse heat conduction problem by the A.N.Tikhonov's regularisation method. The developed software code was tested by comparison with the accurate numerical solution of the direct heat conduction problem. The real temperature profiles in the casting for different instants were reconstructed and growth conditions in the casting mushy zone were determined.
