要約

Complex investigations of hydrodynamics and heat transfer during pulsation in steam generating tubes operating with surface boiling are reported. The necessity is substantiated of an additional measurement and recording of instantaneous values of actual volumetric vapour contents and their variation along the channel length. Some results of such measurements are presented and a method of estimating the actual quantity of vapour (by weight) and the mean the steam quality estimated by heat balance. The mean temperature of the liquid phase may be by a few degrees lower than the saturation temperature. The results shed new light on the mechanism of pulsation and burn-out in subcooled boiling of water.
