In the present study, heat transfer coefficient of helical coils submerged in a vessel agitated with a three blade propeller was investigated testing the effects of the coil gap and the diameter of the tube, of the coil and of the draft tube under steady state conditions. Correlations were obtained for the cases with and without draft tube for different Reynolds number ranges and comparisons were made with jacketed vessel tested under similar conditions.
