要約

A new type of "clean" heat flux meter with the rece-iving disk cooled and protected from ash deposit formation by an air stream is presented. Steady state heat flux meter characteristics and response to the step changes of incident heat flux are investigated experimentally. The numerical models for the heat flux meter calibration and for prediction of ash particle trajectories in the air stream are developed. The experimental results show linear dependence of the flux meter's signal on the incident heat flux. The temperature field in the receiving disk is circumferally uniform and the flux meter response to the step changes of incident heat flux is sufficiently fast. The developed numerical model can be used for calibration within the investigated air flow rate region. Predicted ash particle trajectories show that the air stream avoids contact between ash particles and the flux meter's receiving disk.
