要約

The finite difference code HARWELL-FL0W3D is used to model flow around individual tubes within a tube bundle using a 2-dimensional body fitted grid. Crossflow Reynold's numbers from 0.16 to 520,000 have been studied. Velocity profiles and particle tracks are presented and the ratio of maximum to average flow rate calculated. Computed pressure drops are compared with the predictions of correlations of experimental data: agreement is generally good and improves with grid size.
