要約

A general consistent theoretical method to investigate two phase natural circulation loops has been developed. The one-dimensional governing equations of mass, momentum and energy are written for a system of given geometry. Phenomenological relations are used for two phase flows, e.g. correlations for friction and heat transfer coefficients in terms of the vapor quality and void fraction. All these depend also on the various flow regimes and transitions between them have to be considered. The equations are solved by a combination of analytical and numerical solutions.
Results are presented and discussed in this paper for steady state flows in a simple geometry water loop at atmospheric pressure: the flow rate, the temperature, quality and void fraction fields, the two phase elevations and regimes as functions of the system geometry and input power.
