要約

Critical heat flux (CHF) of subcooled flow boiling with water in tubes with internal twisted tape under circumferentially non-uniform heating condition was experimentally investigated using direct current heating of stainless steel tube. The CHF in smooth tube without internal twisted tape under non-uniform heating condition were slightly higher than those under uniform heating condition. The reason was explained by the lower average qualities at tube outlet under non-uniform heating condition than those under uniform heating condition. The CHF in tubes with internal twisted tape under non-uniform heating condition were much higher than those under uniform heating condition, though the average qualities were the same for both cases. The higher CHF under non-uniform heating condition was explained by the alternate development and disruption of bubble boundary layer. The circumferential location of burnout initiation was observed by video camera, and it was confirmed that the CHF started at the point where the bubble boundary layer developed the most.
