要約

Experiments were performed to analyse the combined effects of surface orientation and confinement on nucleate pool boiling and critical heat flux of a dielectric fluid on a smooth copper surface. Pool boiling data at atmospheric pressure were obtained for saturated HFE-7100. The surface orientation was varied from 0° (horizontal upward surface) to 135°, through regular increments. The confined boiling condition was obtained by placing an unheated disc face to face with the heated surface. The channel widths between the boiling surface and adiabatic surface were 20, 10, 5, 3.5, 2 and 1 mm, respectively. For each configuration, the boiling curve was obtained up to the thermal crisis.
