要約

In this paper, by using the freestanding sensor-based 3? measurement technique, we present an experimental investigation on determination of the effective thermal conductivity of porous metal foam with open cells and filled with paraffin wax. A number of metal foam samples are measured and the results show that the effective thermal conductivity of the filled metal foam is closely related to the density of the mixtures. The increase of porosity leads to enhancement of the thermal conductive performance of the filled metal foams. Moreover, the effective thermal conductivity varies with temperature, and a peak is observed near the temperature of phase transformation of the fillers.
