Resumo

A new technique for measuring simultaneously the thermal diffusivity and thermal conductivity of a flat plate sample is presented. A test sample is inserted between a pair of reference samples and a one dimentional heat flow having an arbitrary function is applied from outside of them. The thermal properties are determined from the equations derived from the Laplace transform of the heat conduction and Fourier equations and the Laplace integral values of the temperature responses at four measuring positions. Numerical tests are performed to check the validity of the method and to examine its characteristics. The method is demonstrated by the measurement of both properties of teflon, silicone rubber and soda glass plate. An automatic data analyzer, which is composed of A/D converter, microcomputer and other necessary components, is made on an experimental basis.
