MODIFICATION OF THE TURBULENT TEMPERATURE FIELD IN STRONGLY HEATED AIR FLOWS
Resumo
One-point structure of the temperature fluctuations in air flows at different mean temperatures (up to 400°C) is investigated in order to get
informations on the laminarisation mechanism with
strong heating. Experiments at constant velocity
or at constant Reynolds number are conducted. The
Reynolds number appears as the regularizing para
meter for the temperature fluctuation intensity.
But, for transitional Reynolds numbers this intensity decreases with increasing mean temperature.
The fine structure of the temperature field shows
a strong dependence on the mean temperature even
for constant Reynolds number flows.
