Resumo

The present paper deals with the experimental and theoretical investigation of the conductive heat transfer in water vapour. The experiments have been performed in a heat-transfer cell consisting of two coaxial cylinders for temperatures up to 200°Ð¡ at pressures between О.О6 mbar and 40 mbar. The corresponding Knudsen number range is from 2×10−2 to 20. Theoretically the problem is investigated on the basis of the Boltzmann equation. Agreement between experiment and theory can be obtained by taking into account the rotational degrees of freedom. At the high pressure end in the continuum regime the present experimental data are in good agreement with the results of previous measurements.
