Resumo

This paper presents the results of the identification of dynamic characteristics in a two-phase air-water mixture in parallel channel flow. With use of the least square method for fitting the experimental results into three-parallel-channel adiabatic flow, the response function of pressure drop to inlet flow rate was obtained. By analyzing the transfer function, the criterion for the determination of the propagation velocity of density wave is developed. It is demonstrated that the propagation velocity depends on flow regimes in single channel flow. Special consideration is given to the propagation phenomena in parallel channel flow, and it is shown that the propagation velocity in the parallel channel flow is always higher than in the single channel flow.
