DISPERSION MEASUREMENTS IN TURBULENT FLOWS (BOUNDARY LAYER AND PLANE JET)
Resumo
Experimental investigation of fluctuating temperature field has been performed downstream a steady line source located successively in a turbulent boundary layer and in a turbulent plane jet. Results are presented for the mean temperature, RMS values and skewness factor of temperature fluctuations. Particular attention has been paid to correction of temperature fluctuations measurements accounting for thermal prong-wire interaction. It is shown that a rescaling scheme based on the integral Lagrangian time scale allows to gather results obtained for the boundary layer and plane jet experiments in a satisfactory way.
