ANALYSIS OF COMPACT HEAT EXCHANGERS USING FINITE ELEMENT METHOD
Resumo
The analysis of crossflow compact heat exchangers is carried out using a new finite element model. The predictions are in good agreement with analytical solutions available for constant heat transfer coefficient cases. The analysis can be extended to cases with variable heat transfer coefficients along the length of the exchanger.
