HEAT TRANSFER IN HIGH VELOCITY FLUIDIZED BEDS
Resumo
Considerable work has been done in recent years to understand and predict the heat transfer performance of circulating fluidized beds, especially for those used as boilers and power generation facilities. Convective and radiative transfer on the furnace side and conductive transfer within membrane waterwall assemblies all play important roles in the overall heat transfer process. The geometric shape and vertical length of the heat transfer surface are shown to be important. Heat transfer is strongly coupled to the solids flow patterns. Useful models which describe the various processes are becoming available.
