Resumo

This study investigates the spray angle (α) of the bluff-body on flame stability as the fluid is injected into a combustion chamber through a double concentric bluff-body burner. The observation and measurement of the fluid dynamics by He-bubbles and 5-hole Pitot tube are conducted under an isothermal flow. A two-dimensional spray combustion model is used for numerical studies of combusting and isothermal flow within a double concentric jet. The calculating results in an isothermal flow shows in qualitative agreement with experimental measurements. The influence of the cone angle of the bluff-body on velocity and temperature is studied in detail.
