Resumo

Phenomena like singing flame or Rijke tube are air-column oscillations excited by a heat source in a tube. Great temperature gradient just at upstream of a heater plays an important role for excitation. In this study the phenomena were simulated by solving the fundamental equations with computer. Consequently, it was found that the field effect in a heating section and at downstream could not be ignored for analysis. Distribution of temperature variations around a heater is discussed.
As for a vertical tube system, calculation results of oscillation growth rate are compared with experimental ones.
