Resumo

A two-equation model is adopted to analyze the heat-transfer processes in the thermally-developing region of a porous annulus. The two-equation model considers different energy equations for the solid and the air. A thermal-entrance effect function is included in the modeling of thermal dispersion conductivity to account for the enhanced heat-transfer characteristics of the fluid in the thermally-developing region. The calculated wall temperature distributions under different heating conditions and Reynolds numbers are in good agreement with experimental data. From the Calculated results, it is (bund that the flow accelerates due to flow heating in the axial direction. The heat transfer and temperature difference between the solid and the fluid reaches a maximum near the wall and then decreases in the transverse direction
