Аннотация

On the basis of the measurements carried out with the help of hot-wire anemometer, it is shown that the external flow turbulence affects substantially the internal structure of a boundary layer on the flat plate with zero pressure gradient within the range of Reynolds number 6.103−4.2.106 which manifests itself in considerable changes of the distribution of time average velocities, characteristic thicknesses, velocity pulsations, turbulence kinetic energy and turbulent shear stresses on the boundary layer thickness as well as increase of shear stress on the wall and heat transfer intensity.
Empirical relations are obtained for determining the external flow turbulent viscosity and the mixing length in the boundary layer at increased turbulence using of which provides satisfactory agreement of numerical calculation results for pseudolaminar and pseudoturbulent boundary layers on the plate with the experimental data.
