Аннотация

The temporal evolution formulation of the evaporating or condensing and isothermal liquid films falling down an inclined wall is established for the film thickness with the collocation method based on the boundary layer theory and complete boundary conditions. The evolution equation indicates that flow stability of the falling films is closely related to the following factors, the different thermal conditions, thermocapillarity, surface tension, liquid properties, inclination angle and Reynolds number. Their effects that show remarkable different performances at different Reynolds numbers are discussed in detail.
