Radiation transfer modeling by a ray-tracing method and a CK or k approach

A ray-tracing method dedicated to systems characterized by complex geometry and fields has been developed for
emitting and absorbing gas-particle mixtures. It is compatible with any type of unstructured mesh of a coupled fluid mechanics model. Boundaries are apertures, opaque walls or characterized by symmetry or cyclicity conditions.
The model is based on direct independent calculations of radiative wall flux and power per unit volume in chosen
points, centers of local spherical frames, and on procedures of data homogenization related to both the medium and
the boundaries. The method has been validated and discussed.
