Аннотация

An experimental investigation of boiling crisis at a downward-facing inclined (angles of inclination 8, 12 and 16°) long (1…2m) surface in a pool was performed. The subcooling effect on the CHF value at atmospheric pressure was studied. An anomaly of the subcooling dependence of CHF such as occurrence of the CHF minimum at subcooling 20(±10)°C was revealed. A hypothesis explaining the nonmonotonic character of the subcooling dependence of CHF was proposed. A CHF correlation generalizing experimental data and accounting for the effect of heat transfer surface orientation, pressure and subcooling was derived.
