Аннотация

An apparatus in technical scale was built to get heat transfer rates at evaporation in a cocurrent falling film evaporator with one and with three tubes. The results with one tube corresponded well with that of other authors. With three tubes we found two flow patterns. At low feedrates nearly all the liquid flows down in the anulus at the wall. At higher feedrates temporary backflow in the tubes will occure. This effect leads to a remarkable increase of heat transfer of ~ 40 % at evaporation of pure water and at normal pressure.
