Аннотация

Experimental results are presented from an investigation of forced convection heat transfer to fully-developed flow of air in a pipe with wall heat flux rising exponentially in the flow direction. The thermal boundary condition under consideration is one for which a fully-developed heat transfer situation is achieved, yielding heat transfer coefficients which can be significantly greater than those for uniform heat flux. The present and earlier data are subjected to direct comparison with predictions of heat transfer obtained using three turbulence models.
