Аннотация

The local mass transfer rates on the flat plate in impinging single jets issuing from the bell-shaped nozzle and sharp-ended orifice are presented. Measurements with the naphthalene sublimation technique неге undertaken for the jet emitter-to-plate separations varied from 1.2 to 16 emitter diameters and for the Reynolds numbers of about 6000, 10000, 20000 and 44000. Only some tests for the bell-shaped nozzle were done over the range Re = 4500+145000. The orifice jet is strongly affected by a flow contraction phenomenon and all mass transfer data for this jet are considerable higher from those for the nozzle jet. Correlations are obtained for the stagnation point mass transfer for the jet core and turbulent jet regions.
