Аннотация

Convective boiling and heat transfer in vertical porous channel heated on the walls are studied. The porous medium is a sintered fibrous matrix. An experimental set-up is realized to study the local temperatures, pressures in the channel. A specific device is developed to measure the outlet vapor quality.
For given values of the two main controlled parameters ( heat flux and inlet superficial liquid velocity) the temperature profile is established. Several fluid state zones appear in the channel.
The pressure profile is measured for each operating condition. An analytical model, based on a homogeneous model, is proposed to predict the pressure variations in the boiling zone. A comparison of these two appraoches is made. A thermal non-equilibrium between the liquid and its vapor is observed for critical operating conditions and an experimental law is proposed.
The heat transfer between the walls and the fluid is systematically studied. A boiling curve is derived for the sintered porous channel.
