Hybrid Device for CPV Power Generation and Heating
Аннотация
In this study, the generating efficiency of the limited area of a CPV(concentrated photovoltaic) system was increased using a solar concentrator and a tracking device. Heat generated from the CPV was collected with a thermal absorber, which is then used for supplying hot water or heating. Thereby, the CPV system provided electricity and heat simultaneously. Tracking the sun by detecting the position of the sun, repositioning the heating device towards the east after sunset, and shutting down the system after sunset were all successfully implemented using an illuminance sensor (CdS).
A heat transfer simulation model was also developed to compare the actual temperature profile of the CPV and thermal absorber. A good agreement was observed between the simulations and experiments. We performed a parametric analysis with fin installation and entrance location was also performed according to the operating temperature of the CPV.
