Аннотация

An overview on the heat transfer behaviour of condensing ammonia will be given. The influence of surface geometry (smooth, polished, rough, xidized, wire-wrapped, fluted) and tube material will be discussed. The influence of the tube orientation (horizontal, inclined, vertical) on condensation heat transfer behaviour will be presented. The influence of oil on the heat transfer of ammonia vapour condensing on horizontal tubes will be shown. The heat transfer during condensation of pure ammonia vapour is compared with the Nusselt film theory. The heat transfer coefficient is increased by adding mineral oil. The influence of air on condensation heat transfer will also be discussed. With increasing amount of air the heat transfer coefficient strongly decreases. The results of ammonia vapour condensing on smooth and fluted aluminium tubes are presented. New experimental results of ammonia condensation on smooth and integral-fin (32 fpi) titanium tubes are shown. The enhancement factor for the integral-fin tube ranges from 0.77 to 1.22. The enhancement of heat transfer in condensation of ammonia vapour on a tube bundle with helically wound wires on the tubes is presented. Experimental results and prediction methods will be presented in the literature overview.
