LARGE-SCALE EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF HEAT TRANSFER AUGMENTATION TECHNIQUE IN GAS-HEATED CHANNELS

Аннотация

In this work the long-term large-scale experiments using twisted-tape and compound insert consisting of the inner twisted-tape and the outer tape, which is spirally winded on the internal tape, were performed. The full-scale experiments were carried out directly on a convective part of a tubular combustion air preheater of high-pressure pulverized combustion steam generator with a rated capacity of 300 MWth. The duration of test run during of which inserts were continuously installed and measurements data are collected was more than 4000 hours. It was obtained that heat transfer performance of empty tubes when comparing with Gnielinski equation they demonstrate lower performance of more than 20 percent. It has been observed the additional increase of heat transfer performance of tubes with inserts comparing with empty tubes more than 2 times.
