Аннотация

Micro reactor of methanol reforming coupling thermoelectric generation with waste heat recovery is designed and fabricated. Experimental studies on reactor thermal character, hydrogen production properties, thermoelectric module characteristic are carried out. Results show that, along the flowing direction, there exists a time delay of reactant vaporization in reforming channel. Maximum temperature difference between thermoelectric module cold and hot sides is obtained in the temperature rising process. At the beginning, both methanol reforming reaction and waste heat temperature rising lead to strong temperature difference fluctuations. Temperature differences between the module two sides increase with the increasing of inlet space velocity and temperature at reforming side. Both temperature and temperature differences between the module two sides decrease gradually along the flowing direction. Hydrogen production rate and methanol conversion increase, while heater thermal efficiency increases firstly and then decreases with the increasing of inlet temperature. In addition, hydrogen production rate, reactor thermal efficiency both increase with reforming side space velocity, while methanol conversion decreases with it. Studies have shown that it is effective to adopt endothermic catalytic reaction on maintaining cold side temperature distribution for thermoelectric generation.
