HEAT TRANSFER AND BUBBLE DYNAMICAL BEHAVIOR DURING SINGLE BUBBLE POOL BOILING IN MICROGRAVITY
摘要
SOBER-SJ10 is one of 27 experiments of the program SJ10, aiming to study the bubble dynamics and local heat transfer during pool boiling process in microgravity by using an integrated micro heater. The substrate of the integrated micro heater is a 10×10×2 mm3 quartz glass wafer. On the top-side, there are 10 four-wire micro-RTDs distributed uniformly in the circumferential direction for local temperature measurements on the heater surface, and a pulse bubble trigger for exciting a bubble nucleus by using the method of local overheating. On the back-side of the substrate, a serpentine strip of platinum thin film acts simultaneously as
the main heater to provide the input power for maintaining the boiling process and the temperature sensor to measure the average temperature on the back-side of the substrate. Two experimental modes, namely single bubble pool boiling and normal pool boiling modes, can be realized with or without activation of the bubble trigger. The data obtained from the space flight experiment which was performed successfully in April, 2016 are presented and analyzed, focusing upon bubble dynamical behavior during single bubble pool boiling in
microgravity. The spatio-temporal evolutions of transient temperature on the heated surface are also reconstructed based on the measurement, to obtain further understanding on nucleate pool boiling phenomenon.
