EFFECT OF DIFFERENT COATINGS ON THERMOLYSIS PROPERTY OF GALLIUM-BASED LIQUID METALS RADIATOR IN WIDE TEMPERATURE RANGE
摘要
In order to solve the corrosion issues of gallium-based liquid metal to copper or aluminum, molybdenum coatings which were prepared via thermal spraying method, was adopted for protecting the contact surface of copper radiators, when anodic oxidation treatments were applied on 6061 aluminum-alloy radiators. The prepared radiators were evaluated by the corrosion test and the static simulation under 200 °C. it was experimentally found that the corrosion products of copper radiator, which was exposed in eutectic gallium–indium (E-GaIn) liquid metal under 200 °C, existed as the uniform phase of CuGa2. The experimental and simulation results indicated that the molybdenum coatings had a weak negative influence on the heat transfer performance of liquid metal radiator, which presented excellent corrosion resistance and good consistency with pure copper substrate. The anodized 6061 aluminum-alloy presented a lower thermal conductivity but
excellent corrosion resistance performance with low cost and light weight. The molybdenum coatings on contact surface of the copper radiator were recommended in anti-corrosion protection from liquid metal. From the aspect of cost and weight, the anodized aluminum-alloy that can satisfy the heat transfer
performance was proposed instead of copper.
