Abstract

Investigation has been carried out of heat transfer and friction at laminar flow of gas in a round pipe with a length varying wall temperature, at constant and variable physical properties of the gas. The system of equations of boundary layer, describing the heat transfer and gas flow in the pipe, has been solved numerically. Data have been obtained on local values of heat transfer and friction for air at power laws of the wall temperature variation in the case of heating and cooling the gas. Peculiarities of the flow and heat transfer under given conditions have been analysed.
