DIRECT CONTACT HEAT TRANSFER WITH CONDENSATION OF BUBBLES IN AN IMMISCIBLE LIQUID
Abstrakt
Direct contact heat transfer with countercurrent condensation of n-butane bubbles in water was studied. The diameter of the heat exchanger tube was 14 cm,
the distances between the water distributor
and the sparger ring were 33 cm, 53 cm, and 73 cm. The measured temperature profiles showed three characteristic
regions: a constant temperature zone, a falling temperature zone with condensation, and a falling temperature zone without condensation. The visually observed condensation heights varied between 16
and 60 cm, increasing with increase of butane flow rate and with decrease of water flow rate.
