SOME PROBLEMS ON HEAT TRANSFER IN PLASMA JET GENERATORS
Abstrakt
In this paper a method is described for correlation of electric aro characteristics in the numbers obtained by the approximate similarity method. The generalized formulae for aro burning in a cylindrical nozzle, cross blown aro and water stabilized aro are given. Correlation also is given to a mechanism of heat exchange in different electric aros.
Solutions are further given for heat conduction problems as well as the results of investigation of temperature fields of cooled electrodes of electric aro devices. The results obtained allow the choice of the optimum thicknesses of an electrode, its geometry, cooling regime that provide a maximum resource for continuous operation of the installation.
