A THEORETICAL ANALYSIS OF MASS TRANSFER FROM A GAS INTO ACCELERATING THIN FALLING LIQUID FILM FLOWING ALONG AN INCLINED SURFACE
Abstract
The present paper investigates analytically the absorption rates of a gas into an accelerating, non-Newtonian (and Newtonian ) wave-free laminar falling liquid film flowing along an inclined wall for the developing region. It is observed that the flow behaviour index 'n' of the power law, the modified forms of Fr/Re, Sh, the Schmidts number play significant role and exert influence on the Sherwood number.
