SOME FACTORS DETERMINING INCIPIENT SUPERHEATS IN ALKALINE METALS
Abstract
The results of experimental research of incipient superheats of sodium, potassium, caesium and sodium-potassium alloys in tubes are given. It has been found that incipient superheat in the previous experiment is determined by the condensation conditions of the steam bubbles. In tests with a stabilized nucleus of the heat-flow the concentration of oxides and a number of other factors do not influence incipient superheating. It has been established that during unstable boiling the superheat in alkaline metals is described by parameters ΔPs = 0,0105 Pcrit.
