Friction and heat transfer on a honeycomb surface in laminar and turbulent flows
Sinopsis
The results of experimental investigation of laminar and turbulent boundary layers being formed on a
honeycomb plate are presented. Filling-in of the averaged velocity profiles and surface friction in this case may
be well below those values for a smooth surface and, therefore, results in reduced heat transfer between flow and
a wall.
